Photographer's Note
This is the trunk of an Oak in Sherwood forest. Around this Oak are felled foreign trees. I'm sure you can guess why I took this picture, such an amazing and surreal wood formation naturally forming, I think is incredible.
I wonder if someone was maybe buried under this tree, maybe 1 of Robin Hoods companions?

Hi ,
strange how we see things in clouds etc and this is no exception .i like the texture of the cracked grain it just adds to the view

Hello James. One can only be astonished, which brings nature out. A face with many folds and tears in an old trunk. The face reminds of a dead mask. Here the face became part of nature. The motive is very beautifully observed and realized. Many greetings, Wolfgang.
