Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

On our wonderful TE meeting in Edinburgh, there were lots of places that we all wanted to see.

After visiting Holyrood House, which didn't offer any chances for photography, we headed towards the attractive Calton Hill. The closest route was up, through the Old Calton Cemetery, one of Edinburgh’s many atmospheric old cemeteries and containing some enormous memorials.

AS we were considering views, this lady stopped a passerby for help to find the quickest way to the Nelson Memorial. It was one of those quick decision shots, the couple making an interesting focal point in between the otherwise regimented shapes.

In the distance you can see the slope up to Arthur's Seat and it makes viewers very aware of how much countryside surrounds this lovely, historic city.

As a w/s, I will show some of the other members of our group.

Have a lovely day,Bev :-)

I added a graduated filter to the sky, which was a little grey.
