Photographer's Note

Taken yesterday in bright and sunny, but still cold, weather, this is a view of the little terraced houses at the east end of the charming little village of St. Monans in the East Neuk of Fife.

Looking westward, the spire of the village church is just visible: the harbour is below it and hidden from view. The village has a long history dating back to about 800 A.D. and has been a centre for fishing, shipbuilding and salt production. You can read more about it on the wonderful "Undiscovered Scotland" website here.

Shot in RAW using a polarising filter and converted and edited in PSE6.
