Photographer's Note
This shot was taken looking south from Scarista beach on the isle of Harris in the outer Hebrides, at just before sunset which is very late in these islands in June. Harris is a lovely remote and fairly isolated place to visit with stunning scenery.

Spectacular scenery. You have captured the feeling of a remote and unspoiled place. I like the contrast between the beach in the foreground which is tinted with a warm glow from the setting sun and the dark hill in the background.

Hi Joy, I love the light and the tones on the sand dunes. What I like most are the foot prints - They are leaving memories of days fun on the beach- to be wiped out over night by the high tide or the night winds. A lovely photo.
I always find cropping a personal matter, I would have perhaps cropped the image just above the horizon of the hills- The sky not being that exciting and it would bring more focus on the FG- which is the really beautiful part of the photo.( but that is my own personal feeling on te matter).
Enjoy posting and traveling this wonderful country.
