Photographer's Note
From the front of the 'Dracula Experience' a mask of the Count ( depicted as played by Gary Oldman in the film ) gazes across the harbour to the area where he first set foot on Whitby sands, in the form of a great black dog, when the ' Demeter' was wrecked there.
I achieved my plan to take this shot when the late afternoon sun was lighting the scene reflected in the windows. The 'Dracula' sign was copied from another area of the shop front ( only a metre or so away ) in order to make sense of the picture and to fill a blank spot.
I cannot tell you what lies behind the windows as the place has always been shut when I have visited Whitby. Perhaps it is best just to use ones imgination!

Hi,Maggie,
A nice idea, though popular and I like the contrast between the blue-grey and the sunlit parts in the reflection.

Great imagination on your part, Maggie, to see the possibilities here. The soft blue of the very formal stone makes a perfect frame for the colourful huddle of houses.
Congratulations!

Excellent idea and realisation, very impressive and very original photo! Excellent light managment, great composition and framing (maybe a little crop on the right would give even better result)! Congratulations!
