Photographer's Note
The Grand Turk built in Marmaris in 1996 is a replica, based on historical drawings, of the frigate HMS Blandford built in 1741. She is 46.3m long with a main mast of 35.66m and a draught of 3.1m. and has a splendid figurehead ( see WS )The ship is equipped with 12 working sails but is also powered by two 450hp deisel engines as she is now used for sailing events, corporate and private charter and receptions. Whitby is now her home port, where she spends the winter and provides a colourful addition to the dock where she is moored.

Kalimera sou Maggie
This is certainly one of the best reflections in a long time. Absolutely fantastic details of the masts and that yellow is its great asset. The square frame is really attractive.
Have a lovely day and TFS

Even more mouth-watering than its predecessors, Maggie. At first glance a painting, and then I see the 'real' rope curving up and then taking the eye down to the reflections. Sheer magic!
Thanks,
Winifred

Hello Maggie,
A great idea to concentrate on the reflection; it makes for an interesting and unusual composition. I like the light and shadow contrasts and the Impressionist feel. Well seen and presented.

Hi Maggie,
This photo is a kind of abstract art, you give us form and colours in a way that pleases the eye. I have a faint impression of a boat here, but that doesn´t really matter. I just enjoy this composition!
Kind regards

Hi Maggie, dear friend,
your artistic soul can see and create that. Formidable impressionist realization. If you permit I will keep it in my personal collection of "reflexions", like my inspiration for oil on canvas.
So glad and happy to see you this evening,

Hi Maggie. Well spotted and captured. Great colour and composition, the diagonal elements add dynamism. I love the way the water has added texture to the reflections. Nice work and thanks for sharing.
Have a good week, Paul.
