Photographer's Note

New Brighton Lighthouse was originally known as Perch Rock Lighthouse and construction began in 1827. Since 1 October, 1973 it has not been in use as a lighthouse, having been superseded by modern navigational technology.

C'est une preuve de fidélité à TE mais c'est surtout chez toi une participation active et constructive et qui en plus n'est pas dénuée d'humour.

Bonjour Claude,
Photo très bien composée. L'eau creuse un sillon dans le sable et nous amène vers les rochers puis ce phare parfaitement placé. Lumière très agréable. Ca manque néanmoins un peu de netteté je trouve.

Bonjour Claude,

La composition fait son effet avec ce premier plan intéressant et la série de roches menant le regard vers la mer et le phare.
Les couleurs chaudes rendent l'ensemble très agréable à regarder.
Dommage qu'il y ait de la distorsion, l'horizon semblant un peu courbé et le phare pencher sur la droite.

Très belle composition. J'aime beaucoup que tu l'ais saisi en portrait plutôt qu'en paysage, ce qui lui donne une dimension intéressante avec le sable lumineux en avant plan.

Ca ne m'arrive pas souvent mais pour une fois hier je me suis retrouvé à court de singes verts !
Il faut dire qu'avec 3 semaines de retard sur la galerie, j'avais bien de quoi utiliser mon quota !
J'ai donc patienté pour pouvoir te "décorer" de 2 nouveaux points, à l'occasion de cette bonne image qui constitue ton 400ième post

Coucou Claude,

J'ai cru au premier abord qu'il s'agissait de la Bretagne (en voyant le ciel bleu) mais je constate qu'il s'agit de sa grande soeur.
C'est très joliment cadré et composé tout ça ! Le format vertical est bien vu et la compo est très bien équilibrée. J'imagine que tu n'as pas pu t'empêcher de te baigner dans un tel site ! ;-) Un lieu qui méritait bien 400 ploufs !
Etonnante photo pour marquer tes 400 ans (tes 400 photos pardon !) car ce n'est pas dans tes habitudes de publier des photos aussi "classiques". Ceci dit, ton éclectisme me plaît !

Ciao Claude, ta photo est superbe!Les couleurs, le contraste entre elles, la perspective et la netteté sont parfaits. Tous les éléments de la photo portent à ce phare en arrière plan mais combien important ne serait ce que pour cette touche de blanc qui se détache sur le bleu du ciel...

Very nice composition, absolutely eye pleasing with the beach as the main subject and the old lighthouse is only in the background. Although the architecture's the same kind, I always see Irish lighthouses on rocks, never on a flat beach. So, something new to learn also, not only something to please my eyes on.
