Photographer's Note
This is a shot of the roof of the central market in Leeds. i was in Leeds with my family and noticed the roof and the number of layers and the colours.
Why don't we build buildings like this anymore?

Hello Chris, in answer to your question...it is probably too expensive, and maybe there are not the workforce with the necessary skills.
I agree with you, that it is a beautiful work of art.
The colours, patterns, materials plus lots of light, all add up to a very interesting shot.
These old market halls still have a lot to offer.
Regards Jean.

Hi Chris
This looks so busy initially, seems that every inch is not wasted full of content to yield. The structure and design are beautiful compare with the shopping malls today at least I can look up and see something interesting. What an amazing roof structure and I don't think you could have done any better, packed a lot into, brill colours, contrast and superb brightness control. Awesome lens work Chris, Congrats and TFS
Best wishes
