Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
Please click here to see the larger Beta version.
I have had to restrict my use of the computer due to problems with rsi but it is so difficult not to take part on TE!
This w/e, it was our local agricultural show, a very important event in the village's calendar.
It is a very big, one day show featuring all the usual farm animals, show jumping, craft tents, vintage vehicles and a multitude of trade stands and side shows. Along with these there are, also, entertainments in the main arena.
This year the 'Stunt Monkeys' were the main attraction. The group consisted of two very talented bikers and a compere who held the whole show together with his chatty comments, jokes and general interaction with the riders.
My photograph shows one of the stunt riders riding along a narrow bar, whilst the compere trembled underneath! His pleading comments created the mood, electrified the atmosphere and thoroughly entertained the crowd!
I wish you all a happy day, Bev :-)

Hi Bev
We are part of the show, mixed in the crowd, looking at the motorbike riding a fence. The laying man seems to say something funny as everybody is smiling.
By the way, what means sri for a non engish person?

Hello Bev,
I like this very well composed and rather amusing photo. You did very well to include the slightly blurred heads of spectators to the left. They frame the view nicely and connect me with the performers through their obviously keen interest in what is going on. Besides, I like the contrast of red hair and green grass. But the weather was a lot sunnier in London last Sunday :-).
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi beverly,
I can detect the concetration on the rider's face expression, a meticulous riding and quietness from the people around is a "must".
Perfect timing with your shot as well.
Best reghards,
Ike
*** Really did not rememeber why the horse came to the scene in my Montreal pic., too long ago...

Bonjour Bev
Cela doit être un très dur moment à passer.C'est comme rien, il doit avoir durci les muscles de son estomac au cas où. Tu as très bien saisi le moment. J'aime bien ce ciel en arrière plan.
Amicalement

Hello Beverley,it looks as if the weather stayed fine for the show!
Excellent sharp focus on the 'Stunt monkey'doing his stuff!
And I have just noticed the commentator lying down with his microphone!
Good composition with the action slightly off centre, and some of the audience in the fg.Everyone seems to be enjoying the spectacle.
I too seem to be having trouble with my wrist!Too much TE?
Regards Jean.

Unbelievable! This commentator with microphone must have confidence in the ability of the motorcyclist! Very well captured scene.

Hello Bev,
Did you not volunteer to lie down next to the compere here? Just imagine what brilliant close-up shots you could have had of that motorbike and rider!
But actually this is a brilliant shot too - we see the stunt rider, we can even see the worried look on the compere's face, we see the expectant crowds beyond and even the out of focus foreground head of the boy next to you has an air of expectation and excitement!
Brilliant!
Kind Regards,
John.
P.S. Hope that RSI settles soon. Can you still lift a glass? :o)

Hello Beverley,
Never will I be persuaded to do something like this, no matter how skilled the biker is, so I find this a very brave man. ;-) Great photo of this event. Perfect composition, I like the inclusion of the people in the left hand foreground.

Hi Beverley!
It was a good idea to include the heads in foreground, this kid seems to be completely concentrated on the performance. The clouds are great!

Hello Bev,
you captured the electrifying atmosphere as well as the essence of the event and the scene with superb timing and effectiveness. Your picture tells a thorough story, including characters, setting, plot and mood and is structured in a very intriguing and pleasing way. I like how the main scene is so clear and framed by the spectators at the left hand side and in the background. Including the boy in such an eloquent posture in the foreground was an ingenious idea that's affected the scene profoundly. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania
