Photographer's Note
From WIKIPEDIA:
Hilbre Island, the largest of the group, is approximately 11.5 acres (47,000 m2) in area, and lies about 1 mile (1.6 km) from Red Rocks, the nearest part of the mainland of the Wirral Peninsula. The other two islands are Middle Eye (or in older sources Middle Island and on Ordnance Survey maps Little Hilbre), which is about 3 acres (12,000 m2; 1.2 ha) in size and Little Eye, which is considerably smaller. All three islands are formed of red Bunter sandstone. The main island and Middle Eye are less than a hundred yards apart.
During the summer months tourists travel by foot to the Islands from West Kirby.

Bonjour Claude
I like the textural contrasts between the rough, rocky foreground terrain and the smooth contours of the background water and sandy tidal flats. Good sharpness, colour and saturation. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Claude,
Three good photos from an island I never heard of before. Spontaneously I might have chosen one of the WS as a main upload, either the one of the small island being invaded from the mainland, also showing some nice peculiar red rocks, or the other one for the spectacular colours. But this one is also attractive for the shapes of the rocks and the fine light under the dark sky.
Regards,
Gert

Hello Claude,
This is so different from your preferred street photography as no streets and no people!
However, sometimes it is good to have a change.
This shows a nicely angled composition with good, contrasting details.
My favourite is your second w/s, showing the people wading across the shallow water, where the eroded sandstone is protruding at an angle. It is such a co-incidence that I have already critiqued a photograph of people wading across water, today.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Salut Claude,

Amicalement
