Funerary monuments in York Minster
Let's go inside the York Minster and take a closer look at some details.

Walking through the side aisles of the church we see many funerary monuments erected in the outer walls, tombs of the Wealthy 17th century people.

I found some further information about three monuments

■ Picture 1: ◄ William Ingram & Catharina Edmonds ►

Sir William was son of Hugh Ingram and Jane Goldthorpe. He married Catherine Edmonds of Cambridge, and they had 4 children, including William (d. 1669) who is also commemorated on the memorial.
Sir William was Canon of York and a civil servant. He died in 1623.

The three ladies sitting in front of the memorial reminded me of the Three wise monkeys: Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Say No Evil.

■ Picture 2: ◄ Sir Henry and Lady Belassis. ►

Sir Henry Belasyse, 1st Baronet (1555–1624) was an English politician. He was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge. He succeeded his father in 1604 and was created a baronet "of Newborough" in 1611.
He was elected as a Member of Parliament for Thirsk in 1586, 1589 and 1593. After sitting for Aldborough from 1597 to 1601 he was again elected for Thirsk in 1601.
He married Ursula Fairfax, a daughter of Sir Thomas Fairfax of Denton, Yorkshire, by whom he had one son and at least one daughter:

■ Picture 3: ◄ Sir William Gee ►

William Gee born in 1562, was secretary of the Council of the North and Keeper of the Signet from 1604. William Gee married his first wife Thomasine Hutton, daughter of Mathew Hutton. They had one son and two daughters before Thomasine died aged 29 years in 1599.
William Gee's second wife was Mary Crompton, daughter of one of the queen's auditors. William Gee died in early 1612 at the age of only 50 and his wife was forced to buy the wardship of his oldest son to maintain some family control over the estates.
