Photographer's Note

This is one of my favourite places in Cornwall.

Godrevy beach.

From the National Trust information:-
"Godrevy's awe-inspiring expanse of sandy beach leads on to wildlife rich headlands and the dramatic coves of the North Cliffs and Western Hill.

Set at the far end of St Ives Bay, Godrevy beach is popular for surfers, families, walkers, nature watchers, and those who simply want to sit and admire the view."

The beach takes the brunt of the Atlantic swell. It is connected to Gwithian beach at lower tides.

Godrevy lighthouse in the distance is the famous lighthouse of Virginia Woolfe's novel 'To the Lighthouse'. The lighthouse stands on a small rocky island just off the coast. It is worked remotely, no-on lives there anymore.

Taken on my iPhone.
Thanks for looking.
