Photographer's Note

I am always interested in renowned universities so I went to see Queen's University in Belfast. The main buildings are situated in Queen's district, where there is also Botanical Garden and some cheap and very nice hostels.
Queen's University Belfast has roots in the Belfast Academical Institution, which was founded in 1810. he present university was first chartered as "Queen's College, Belfast" in 1845, when it was associated with the simultaneously founded Queen's College, Cork, and Queen's College, Galway, as part of the Queen's University of Ireland – founded to encourage higher education for Catholics and Presbyterians, as a counterpart to Trinity College, Dublin, then an almost exclusively Anglican institution.
The current chancellor is Hillary Clinton, who was appointed in January 2020.
It is the 9th oldest university in UK. In the 2019 QS World University Rankings, Queen's was ranked 173.

Thne cetrepiece of the Queen's is the Lanyon Building. Its design borrows from Tudor and Gothic character of the great medieval universities, and in particular of Magdalen College in Oxford.

I have no idea what the students were preparing.
