"Clara makes a desperate move to save her Nutcracker from defeat and throws her slipper at the Mouse King, hitting him directly on the head!
The Mouse King, rather stunned, is defeated by the Nutcracker and the mouse army carry their king away.

The Nutcracker transforms into a human prince who leads Clara away into a snowy forest....

After the Nutcracker has taken the crown from the Mouse King's head and placed it on Clara's, she is transformed into a princess and is whisked off to the magical land of snow and ice, an enchanted pine forest of dancing snowflakes and beautiful trees.
Clara stares in wonder as her carriage awaits and they travel through the cold and frosty landscape together to reach the next kingdom."

There are two more shots in the w/s.
As you can see the lighting was quite dim so as to allow the trees with their lights to really show up well, and create a magical atmosphere.

Hello Jean,
Lovely to see all the small golden Christmas lights in the trees and around the wheels. They stand out really nice from the background and have a nice glow.

We get a nice Christmas picture with a lovely light.
Also your note is perfect understand.
I like the contrast between light and dark part of the carriage.
Colours and sharpness are pleasant to look at.

Hello Jean,
This story reminds me a bit of the one about Cinderella, which I was more familiar with as a child (courtesy of Walt Disney). The photos are bright and the trees and the carriage would make children and grownups equally happy.

Hi Jean,I read the notes as you advised me, but I already knew Clara's story. 3 beautiful photos, the light really difficult but the results are excellent, and I have often found that the focus sensor goes crazy in front of the Christmas trees, so ... congratulations! Hello Jean,
As you write space is limited but the suggestion of a land of snow and ice is very well succeeded.
Good presentation of the scenes where dark and well lit parts are next to each other.
I like your WS1 very much with the red colour of the bed and the warm light on the wall.

nice series of photos and the continuation of the story in the note as well...
It is amazing that people managed to turn this dark and cold season into a celebration of light, with variety of festivals and even Christmas light shows and decorations. As you wrote the darkness together with the subtle light sources creates quite a magical mood.
