This is a photo of Blyth East Pier during easterly gales it is during this type of weather that the local shore fishermen take up their favourite vantage points,this pier is closed to the public owing to dis-repair..however despite safety alerts fishing rods can be seen and the fishermen have taken shelter.

Very efectiv, impressive. Remembers me on an often sold poster few years ago, about a french(?) lighting tower.
Opinions are surely controversy - some'd like have less, others more motion blur for the wave.
I think less would even enhance the impact.

However, very well seen and done

Very fine start, very impressive picture, the water is so powerful !
But the picture is too soft, better to use a tripod if the speed is too slow.

I can't really add much to what the others alrady said - a very dramatic shot, excellent light and timing. You captured the way the wave crashes against the foundation of the lighthouse just perfectly. And, although you probably got enough of them, it was just too tempting for me to do a workshop on this ...
