A powerful photo. Very good composition. Have you enhanced the red tones? The water from the hose looks a little pink to me. I would prefer to see some sort of note explaining this shot and also some info on your camera and the exposure etc. Welcome to TE.

Hi David and welcome to TE.
I agree with Sally. The whites do look a little pink. Camera info is always welcome and interesting, along with any PP that's been done. Nevertheless, it's a powerful shot and well worth posting. Sharpness, detail and composition spot on. Well done. Keep them coming. Best wishes, Vicky

Great detail here David - fantastic colour and good exposure - nothing really blown by the intensity of light from the flames. I have a good photographer friend Stefano Rogliatti - who was a fireman in Italy and he took many amazing photographs in that time - I also took him to an exercise at East Midlands Airport - he was knocked out by the reception of the lads there and stayed a whole shift. He was very impressed by their training.
Here's a link to an exhibition we did with him: http://www.charnwood-arts.org.uk/webworks/chernobyl/
A warm (forgive the pun) welcome to TE - have a good time!
best wishes Kev

What a first post!
Impressive, original and very well framed. There is indeed a slight problem of colours but it doesn't affect the quality of the shot at all.
Really impressive, that man standing under the water so close to the flames!
Congratulations.

Wow what a fantastic powerful shot... You managed to make a fantastic composition with the firemen in the corner and the fire around... Reflections from the fire on the ground makes an extra fine effect... i love it... put it to my favorites... TFS...Ina...

A fantastically powerful photo. Youv'e got the exposure spot on considering the flames which could have confused the metering on your camera. Great comp with pin-sharp focus. Well done, a great picture to mark your entry onto TE.

Great shot. Such intense color and action. I'm glad to know that it's just a training fire.

Hey David, popular photo, I dont want to just jump on the bandwagon but it really is a spectacular photo, you seem so close to the action and the fire is really intense, you really captured the moment. I do think though that the water looks a bit pink and the fire coudl be jazzed up a bit, I thought ti woudl be fun to do a workshop. I will post it tomorrow, it may be a bit over the top if it is let me know!

Hello David,
Incredible picture you have here.
Nice colors and the composition of this nearly squared crop is really good. It is just missing a frame.
