Photographer's Note
This was taken on a busy day in Bath, an elegant Georgian city in the west of England. I like the fact that the artist is absorbed in his painting, unaware of the picture being taken of him and of the people moving around him - although some of them do appear in his painting. The movement of figures around him is interesting as they form diagonal shapes with each other and with the artist. The woman in a black top on the right looks like she's about to post a letter in the rubbish bin! They all have stories to tell.

I like the varied movements of the people around the painter but somehow there is something lacking to really make this come alive - it is somehow flat - perhaps it is worth looking at it in B&W - there are interesting geometries in it though - there is a kind of 'S' shape running across the image and I really like the capture of the young woan in the foreground who really adds to the story - what is in that pink letter and why is she throwing it away?
A good attempt at what I call 'ensemble' street photography.

i like this for sure... a typical busy shot with full of action... every part of the frame is filled no places is uncovered as such....
good one.. i tried one while i was in Leicester Square in London, infront of the cinema hall i dont remember, one street artist was making a sketch of somebody...

Good shot, I love the momentary capture, with the woman using the bin and the other pedestrians. A shame about the glare on the bin but awesome everywhere else.
See what you think of my painting shots, love to know what you think.
