Pixels Britanniques ;o), a photo from London, England

Photographer's Note

Pour commencer mon carnet de voyage sur Londres, d'où je suis fraîchement rentré, et par là-même "allumer" les pixels du Royaume-Uni sur ma carte TE, une photo "so british", représentant deux symboles de la vie quotidienne londonienne : les cabines téléphoniques rouges ornées de la couronne royale, et le signal "underground" des stations de métro.

To begin my London travelogues, from where I just returned, and also to "lit" the United Kingdom pixels on my TE map, this is a "so british" picture, representing two London daily life symbols : red phone boxes with royal crown, and the "underground" sign for the subway stations.

Hi,
nice picture, a classic from London.
good colours and POV. It is a pity the guy look at the camera. But is a nice composition.

Bonsoir JB,
Tu commences fort avec les symboles célèbres des londoniens. Ces cabines téléphoniques rouge ne peuvent pas échapper à ceux qui en ont besoin. Belle image, bien saisie comme d'habitude et des couleurs parfaites. Bravo.

Rassures toi, le temps à Londres devait être le même qu'ailleurs : POURRI!
Une belle première qui fait claquer les rouges au niveau du PP. Je pense que tu aurais du sortir l'homme de ce PP car il a pris de sacré coup de soleil. Tu me diras, avec ce ciel, t'est sur que tu es en Angleterre ?

Hi JB,

very nice composition and lovable strong colors and details. You knew how to capture all those british elements in a couple of pixels. I like that particular telephone cabin. It makes a effective contrast. The option to include the guy in the frame is also correct. Great shot, JB. I hope to see more shots of England. Thanks!

So you have been to Engeland, hopefully not to much rain and what's even better, hopefully a great time..!!
This highly saturated image with the old English phone botth looks nice, deep colour tones and the guy in front makes the scene alive...

Ah ces fameuses cabines made in english! Le rouge claque bien et tu as profité d'une belle journée à en voir le ciel bleu, mais c'était peut-être l'unique!

Despite the extreme highlights you managed well here to provide a good impression of Britain based on the red elements they are so keen of, now you may prepare for the perigord greens ... Oh and I just can't believe this was taken some days ago after all the flood pictures I've seen on TV !

Très belle image. Les cabines téléphoniques snt assez voyantes! Il y en a même une dans mon vilage!! Bonne netteté de la photo.

los la combinacion entre la vida cotidiana y la parte de posterior la imagen engañan ese edificio de lineas clasicas, es una buena combinación.

Yep, classic British/London scene with the Red phone box and the Underground sign. A highly saturated and colorful image to say the least. The pedestrian makes the image come alive and is a must element. Bravo, well done!

JB, où est passé le chapeau melon ? Je vois que la tenue n'est plus ce qu'elle était. Je vois également que le ciel est bleu et ça c'est rare un mois d'août de nos jours. Bonnes vacances !

I'm surprised to see the red phone boxes are still fit and well in our capital city as in most places they have been phased out for anonymous plastic boxes. You have hit on 2 icons of the city. The man is a nice extra too. I'm glad you were able to have some good weather as the light here is very good emphasising the vibrancy of the reds

Une photo très britannique... La cabine, le metro, le batiment... tout très anglais et très beau. Une extraordinaire composition aussi avec un peu de perspective à droite. Les couleurs comme toujours, on voit clairement ton style, c'est comme ta signature, les couleurs bien saturés, très bien définis! Sur la nettetè est très bonne... je trouve cependant que l'homme qui rentre à l'air d'être congelé... comme s'il fût une figure de carton. C'est mon avis naturellement, ma particulière impression et c'est pas mauvais, c'est seulement la première impression que j'ai eu! C'est pas un défaut! Félicitations,

Belle photo de ce pays proche ou je ne suis jamais allé,mais je sent que grâce a vous j' y suis déja,vos exolications et vos photos vont me le faire connaitre.Belle prise de ces choses typiques, pour les cabines je savais, pour le reste a part leurs pudding je ne connait pas grand chose, ha oui, il roule a gauche,ils n' ont pas les memes mesure que nous,pour le reste je compte sur vous.Grande netteté, beau ciel bleu et cet homme qui a l' air si cool. The strong dark colour tones in the picture are here a good compensation for the light and the heat the picture is expressing.

Well composed with the fellow on the right warming and balancing the red phone booth nicely. Good POV and depth here. My only one complaint is that the photo seems slightly oversharpened. A nice capture.

Tu as 'allumé' les pixels Anglais de belle manière! Des couleurs bien vives, une bonne netteté avec de forts symboles Londoniens, le personnage est aussi bien saisi dans son mouvement.

Bonjour JB, il manque juste le fameux bus rouge à impérial passant à proximité et le tableau aurai été plus que complet, mais cela ne va sans doute pas tarder, sur une prochaine vue, l’entrée en matière situe bien l’action très beau ciel bleu sous lequel le rouge flashant et la blancheur des immeubles jaillissent avec force de cette vue, le touriste (je suppose) car trop mal habiller pour être un sujet de sa majesté dynamise l’action, bien amicalement
