Photographer's Note

Opened in May 2000, the Tate Modern is the UK's premier museum of Modern Art. The museum is imaginatively housed in an old electric power station right in centre of London on the waterfront.

Tate Modern displays the Tate collection of international modern art from 1900 to the present day, including major works by Dalí, Picasso, Matisse, Rothko and Warhol as well as contemporary work by artists such as Dorothy Cross, Gilbert & George and Susan Hiller.

J'aime beaucoup cette perspective fuyante, entre sol et plafond, comme suspendue entre passé révolu, présent incertain et avenir énigmatique. Marquant la séparation entre dedans et dehors, les reflets de la rambarde et des tubes au néon sur la longue paroi de verre renforcent ce sentiment de double perception. Protection du dedans d'un côté, attirance vers le dehors de l'autre, mais mise à distance aussi... Une thématique que j'explorais précisément (mais différement) avec mon cliché mis en ligne aujourd'hui : étonnant, non ?

Bravo Sylvie on continue d'apprecier la visite de ce musée original. Beau jeux des neons lumineux. Bravo belle réalisation.

Bonjour Sylvie,
I like this view of the platform at the Tate Gallery very much. In it's own way it is an abstract created from reality. The colors are almost monochrome and the little people a surprise, a very interesting detail. Are they real or is it their reflection? I think real after studying it, am I right?

I'll be visiting London for the first time in March and will be sure to stop by the Tate!
