Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

Week-end is upon us again!

This morning I am posting a shot from the South Bank of the Thames in London. It is an unusual shot, for me, but I just loved the patterning, the shapes and the lines of this ornanate arcade. It is reminiscent of the Victorian arcades with its facade of grandeur!

This is called Hays Galleria. It was once a Hays Wharfe but was blocked in, roofed over and turned into a very attractive shopping area in 1980.

There is so much history connected with the Thames. I have included an Internet link which gives a quick but interesting resume of this area; well worth a quick look. Please click here to view it.

Many thanks for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)

Have a good weekend.
