It is an original way to makke a portrait, and the result is very strong. I think that an out of focus person in the background would be a good presence in this case

Nice experiment with pushing the face to half and emphasizing on the background to create that mood and enhance the portrait which talk more about the woman's environment. Great work!

Very nice portrait, with an uncommon yet interesting cut. The woman has a very intense expression.
