Photographer's Note
My previous shots of the ancient town of Abyaneh featured narrow streets and well preserved old buildings. Near our hotel, somewhat distant from the old town, but within walking distance, I saw and photographed modern houses with large enclosed courtyards shaded by trellised vines and surrounded by fruit trees. They were definitely lived in and I assume the months of tourism must be lucrative enough for families to build bigger and more comfortable homes. I cannot tell whether for the rest of the year it is the grandparents who are the caretakers of these houses while the son or daughters and grandchildren work and study in the cities. As I wrote earlier, I did not see many children in this town.
WORKSHOP shows another example of these more expensive houses.

Hello Klaudio ,
In some countries (like France) , old houses are renovated , but I 've seen in other regions (like in Canary Islands) , that most of ancient buildings are rebuilt , or enlarged , so the typical architecture becomes rare . It seems to be the case here . However , with the choice of colors , new houses are well integrated in the landscape .
A beautiful and interesting picture . I like the contsast with the perfect blue sky .

Bonjour Klaudio,
Un très beau point de vue sur ces très belles maisons dans leur environnement naturel. Les couleurs terre s'harmonisent bien avec les montagnes à l'arrière plan. La lumière est magnifique.
Amicalement

Hi Klaudio
this is an excellent post for TE, showing us something totally new and different from this area.
I can honestly say I wouldn't have expected homes like this one in this area.
and thanks for the WS photo too, adds a lot to this posted shot.
reminds me so much of the South Western United States and its architecture.
lots of browns! we don't see that too often either.
cheers

Buon weekend,Luciano

Hi Klaudio
A great looking sky and a simple shot but looks very inviting with great info. It must have been very pleasant to walk around the wonderful quiet village without a lot of people. A lovely traditional houses well neatly cared for and vividly detailed, admire the capture of lovely bit of autumn light, touch of green fg and the striking mountain range encloses the shot nicely. The colours are mouth-watering with the exposure and the lighting in this shot is just perfect portraying a beautiful view at its most picturesque and inspirational best. A very well done capture, Congrats and TFS
PS; Your always encouraging 'beautiful words' on my last upload is very much appreciated.
Best regards

Interesting post, the buildings look new, but they still fit perfectly into their environment, and still seem to have a connection to the history and past of this place. Very nice how you allowed the beautiful blue sky to occupy the top third of the picture while down below, the buildings and landscape colors match against this perfectly.
Cheers
Noel
