Photographer's Note
Hi, here is my first post from my current trip to Iran. I am having time of my life. Iran is fantastic country with so much to offer. Elihesamian knows about my love for desert and he was so kind to bring me to Dunes at Maranjob where we had absolutely amazing time. As always desert is fantastic place to capture a game of light and shadow.
I called this photo "Lonely photographer" however he was not lonely, we've been 3 of us.. together with his fantastic wife Eli. ..and of course that man on the photo is Mohammad.
I still have more to discover here in Iran but everything what I've seen so far makes me want to see more and more. I hope you enjoy this photo as much as I do.
Lucie

Nice shot Lucie,
I like the shadow play in this shot along with the composition and natural colors. My only suggestion would have been a slight amount of sharpening as the guy seems somewhat out of focus.
I'm jealous!- As we've seen here- I imagine your getting some great shots..
Cheers,
- Dan
P.S.- Is that Mohammad in the photo??

What a great shot, just love the curves and ripples in the landscape here, to me it looks as if it is somebody walking on a female body.

A phantastic photo with beautiful light! It is so nice that the left corner is so dark and you can see some green in it. The person is in the right place and not to big. Very well done!

Very nice Lucie. Wonderful tones, curves and texture that you captured in this composition. The positioning of the photographer in the frame is spot-on and provides the necessary sense of scale. I am also wondering if it is Mohammad :-)

Hoi Lucie,
Een erg mooie binnenkomer als zijnde de eerste uit een lange reeks die we kunnen verwachten. De schaduwen en de man met voetstappen geven dit hele beeld alle kracht. Prachtig belicht......erg mooi..!!!

Hi Lucie, so good to know that you are there with Mohammad and his wife and they are showing you their wonderful land.
What an excellent composition. The colours and lighting showing up the textures and shadows are superb. What is Mohammad following - camel footprints?
Well done, and have a great holiday,

Shahab,
About Iran : Iran is a country which has everything inside. From Salt lakes to beautiful fresh water lakes, From Cold high mountains in north & west( Damavand, the highest, 5671 M. ) to hot Deserts in center & east( Iran got two huge deserts ), From jungles in north & west to beautiful sea in north & south and finaly with people who loves to welcome you to their land and are doing their best to become a great, powerful land again like when Cyrush the great was rulling Iran and announced the first human rights law in our cruel world ...
Welcome to the land of History & Nature :)

Amazing shot! The positioning of the lone person walking on the dunes is just right, in the upper corner. The light on the dunes is great too, showing the shapes and textures very well, giving the dunes an almost sensual look. Superb work Lucie!

The light is just right to catch a lot of fine ripples in the sand, Lucie, and that really makes the shot great, like Mohammad is walking on a giant fingerprint! Having him follow a trail of footprints makes it even better. Very well seen! Regards, Ken.

Décidément, la spécialiste des dunes a encore frappé fort !
Cette photo est plus que belle grâce à la lumière et à une composition extra. Les ombres sont aussi belles que les parties éclairées et la présence humaine donne la dimension de cet univers.

Hi Lucie,
This not only a perfect photo. It is a perfect presentation of Mohammad and his art.
Yes, he is a lonely photographer, I usually think of his subjects and compositions and I wonder why he always prefers very open landscapes instead of very interesting daily life of his country. I think his choice has a strong background, some good reasons.
Finally, This is a great shot.

Hi Lucie,
Mohammad and you made so amazing pictures of the desert. I love the way you captured its beauty. When I opened the thumbail, it was first because of the title. And then, when you see the large view, you discover the details that makes you like the picture even more. Here I like the lonely man, walking between both lines of footprints, as well as the play between light and shadow.

This is a stunning composition Lucie. You have managed to capture the feeling of solitude so well.
There is another dimension to this image, which is the value of TrekEarth. I have been a keen viewer of Mohammad's work for a long time and to see him feature in your portfolio is an illlustration of how this site manages to draw people from across the globe closer to one another. A powerful thought indeed.
Keep it up, Lucie. Look forward to seeing more of your Iranian pictures.

Lucie,
Still I can feel the softness of the sand under my feet, and the sunlight that made me hot but was pleasant,
Too hard for me to write for the shot when I see myself in it !
For many times I was trying to write here but could not, amazing thing, when you see yourself in a frame which composed by another like you !
Seems I must say,I have composed nicely!!!:)
or You placed me in the composition very well :)...a fun...
I'm in it,You know, and its feeling is very strong for me,seems in the shot I have a long way and path that I must go on,I'm in first of the path, but which kind of way or path?!...many things...,seems it's nice to walking on the sand, but You know perfectly that to walk on the sand for a long distance and time is very difficult and hard, make everybody tired, not only me ...,...but must countinue, more and more, even if be hard, with "darkness" around, but can see the light and can going on hopefully, even the road be soft and sandy with its beauty.
The shot is wonderful for me,I like the way you captured me when I was walking towards to other side,in other hands, the "photographer" in the shot doesn't want to stay in a point, seems he want to countinue, surely he will pass from your frame !!!:)...and maybe the shot be remain without me !!! only dunes...:)
I love the shot for many things,...
Still I can feel the softness of the sand under my feet,
...
Thanks Lucie,
Best Wishes
Mohammad

Very nice view to Dasht-E KAVIR (Central Desert of Iran).
It looks that the man is walking on skin of a anaked huge body.
I love the patterns of wind on the sands and nice color and shadows.
