Photographer's Note
I was walking in the Laleh Park, Tehran, when I spotted this old man when he was sweeping up the leaves. The moment I saw him, and his wrinkled face, I was wondering about how did he endure his life and the historical events he might have seen.
We hardly could communicate. By hand-signals, I asked his permission to take his picture from close distance. He initially refused, but then suddenly he nodded. I showed him the pictures I took and he smiled. Unfortunately I can't send him the printed version. Probably next year, when I have the chance to visit the Iranian Film market nearby the park --hopefully he is still there next year.
