Photographer's Note
After several hours on the mountain top, it was time to say goodbye to Masada...We went back to the entrance to the mountain top and waited for our turn to go down to civilization and life that awaited us...
From this vantage point the observation toward east was inspiring and breathtaking, the numerous ravines sprawling from the mountain's base toward the distant sparkling blue, the Dead Sea. In this vista you can also see Camp C at the bottom right area, one of the camps that participated in the Roman siege.
I enjoyed a lot the visit to Masada and I recommend it to everyone that plan to visit Israel - don't hesitate to contact me via email

Hello Chen,
A great picture, with an excellent POV. Well framed, makes me think it's going down like a plane.

Hi Chen
This is an excellent compo, with the cable nicely positioned diagonally and the cabin itself well placed against this remarkable landscape. I took this cable car 10 years ago and I agree that it's definitely worth a visit.

I like the perspective and composition of this one. Also wonderfully matching colours, with the partly blue cabin above the lakes surrounded by desert. For me as swiss it has some kind of surreal feeling, a cablecar above desert :-)

Hi Chen,
Since you started this series on Masada quite some time ago, I get the feeling that we were up there a lot longer than just a few hours! ;o)
Well, every good thing has an end and it's now time to come down with this last view on the surroundings. I like the way you've placed the cable car within the frame and the cables are not too disturbing. The view all the way up to the Dead Sea must be awesome!
Have a nice day.

shalom chen,
this is the place that i missed on my way up to jerusalem...place where the heros of israel defended the fortress for such a long time...
i was bewildered by the scenery of the negev desert, the sand and rock formations...
and obviously the colours, unique, impressive...

Hi Chen,
Long time since we spoke, hope you are doing fine.
Your picture has great depth and use of the diagonal line a strong and powerful composition. Good piece of work.

Hey Chen,
very ver nice shot, the POV here makes it. A dramatic look downward and the nicely framed gondolla. Great work.
As far as the 17-40L + 5D, after shooting in some tight alleys this weekend Ive decided Im getting it. I was thinking of the 24-70 but I want that extra wide angle..

Hi Chen, love the post-card quality of the image. From my point of view this image has a lot of commercial value. It shows the means to get to Masada and view to expect once you are up there. Wish to visit someday.
Cheers,
Enrique
