Admiring Doha skyline, a photo from Ad Dawhah, South

Photographer's Note

Museum of Islamic art is a good spot if you're keen to find a good spot to see Doha skyline.
The museum itself is also nice to visit with an interesting collection of Islamic art from 7th to the 19th century.
Unfortunately I hadn't enough time to visit the museum during the blue hour, but it's quite cool during daytime as well.
The local man with a cellphone in the foreground was a nice bonus for this shot.

Woow Boa!! This is one of the most beautiful pics never seen from Doha,no doubts! Fantastic composition,symmetryc and sharp,with the special bonus of the man watching the show of the new town,taken between the archs,2 points are not enough,the pic of the day on TE! hello Boa, Nice to see you here again :). And I suppose that Qatar was not the goal of your trip so I am curious where you went next. Excellent picture of the Doha skyline. The guy is, of course, the important part of the composition. Superb picture. I was in Doha but only at the airport, quite interesting.

Jättefin bild från Doha, och ganska färsk också. Undrar om du är kvar eller någon annanstans ännu mer spännande. Du är väl inte och rekar för VM 2022? Du fångade ett fint ljus och fina pastellfärger och en bra kontrast mellan valvbågarna närmast och skyskraporna där borta. Mannen är förstås den som verkligen skapar bilden. Alltför många här på sajten skulle inte ha kommit på tanken att invänta honom. Bra placerad är han också.

Hello Boa, a clever composition, where you have used the more traditional shape of the arches to frame the very modern buildings of the city.
The man is perfectly placed. The red of his head covering is a good focal point.

A great view of the skyline in the background seen through the large arches of the museum. The light and shadows were also very attractive and the man was a good bonus.

It's always good to see you posting ... and to see where you have been travelling!
This is a photograph which immediately grabs attention.
The arches make a very attractive frame for the details of the high-rise city and, as you say in your notes, the figure is a real bonus. I had no idea that he was on his phone, I imagined he was just enjoying the view.

An exceptional POV found, Boa, and fine view through the arches, timing when the lone person appears taking yet another picture of the city skyline across the water.

This looks a bit like a private viewpoint for you and the man with the cellphone. It's indeed best to have him included on the picture.
The arches make a great foreground and add a lot of depth to the photo.
Is the water that we see a sea inlet? Did you spend a lot of time in Qatar?
