Photographer's Note

This is an amazing area with its outlandish landscape. The Hittites ruled from this region and many houses can be seen carved into the soft volcanic rock. There are even underground cities carved out of the same rock. A must see for anyone interested in ancient civilizations.
So whats a load of melons got to do with this you ask? Well they grow copious quanties of them in the fields around the carved houses. Then when ripe they harvest and send to market. Yes you've guessed, a market stall in Cappadocia with just hundreds and hundreds of mellow yellow melons, just had to take the photo.
