Photographer's Note

As I have mentioned before, Balat was my favorite area of Istanbul.

Its become somewhat of a popular area for photographers, and its easy to see why with all the crumbling architecture, history, and welcoming people that live here.

This is a simple street scene, with a boy who is perhaps walking home from school? Its hard not to love the crumbling building in the bg, thats what caught my attention in the first place.

Guess I was lucky that this boy walked straight into the scene. As time passes and as I grow as a photographer, i'm learning to accept more and more people into my shots. TE has played a large role in that.

I'll post 2 more photos in the WS. A collection of people and families we met along our journey walking these streets with our TE member Deniz.

Thanks for looking
