79 in 100, a photo from Canakkale, Marmara

Photographer's Note

The building seen in the photo has a history of 100 years, besides the establishment inside, has a history of 79 years. One of the oldest establishment in Gelibolu and the oldest canned fish factory.

In Gelibolu, where is the heart of production of canned fish, there are two historical shops. One of them is 79 years old Alaeddin and the other one is 47 years old Yaksi. Both of them are selling the products in their modest shops. They are waiting for their frequent customers and the ones who just found out the delicious taste of sardines (Turkish: Sardalya).

Hello Seref,
Thank you for sharing this excellent image of the old store with us. I like the fact that almost all of the photo is in the shade and only a small portion of the washed out sky is visible. This is a tough angle to take an architectual shot like this, but you kept the distortion well under control. I wish that Nikon would come out with a moderate wide-angle perspective control lens like Canon's 24mm PC lens. Excellent exposure and composition. Adding your map is very helpful. Well done!
