Photographer's Note
The Cappadocia region of Turkey is loaded with caves, monasteries, underground cities and fairy chimneys - incredible rock formations that are a result of volcanic erosion. Fairy chimneys have small holes carved into the rock and were actually pigeon houses - used for gathering and storing fertilizer.
This shot was taken from a hot air balloon - if you ever visit this area, you must include this adventure on your itinerary!

The sheer unusual blending of man and nature here is what makes this a true TE picture. Thank you for sharing such a surreal display. The composition is very good and makes me curious to see beyond it.
I would love to see more pictures of the surroundings.

Yes a ballondrive is a must here,but not for me ,I have a problem with height.....
You show us a very nice detail of this unique landscape with these carvings.I like a lot the soft brown tones in the early morning sun.
