The Long Fence, a photo from Newfoundland, Atlantic

Photographer's Note

The Long Fence” is the name of this photo taken at scenic Cape Spear with a camera pointed directly into the sun. A circular polarizer was used.
The lens was a Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS with no hood, a number of articles state that the lens hood is useless on this model and may in fact break the lens.

Hi Jim,

... so this fence adds well depth to your frame while creating great contrasts and perspective with next Cape Spear building. I like mixed yellow-brown colors on ground with different size of shadow of wooden barrier. Fantastic sky is adding great value to your excellently captured photo. Congratulations.

Hi Jim,
Love these kind of perspectives.The long fence has given us a good measure of the frame and lead our eye all the way to the building where the wonderfully patterned sky has created a lot of drama.Love the soothing colours and nice contrast of the darkish F/G. The light is fantastic and as u mentioned directly shooting to the sun - u have done a wonderful job here.

This is a great perspective and well chosen POV to take a shoot of this lighthouse. I really like this type of pictures when using a fence or whatever other element to give perspective to the work.
