Photographer's Note
“Whale of an entrance” is the name of this photograph. This picture was taken yesterday in Ferryland on the southern shore. Some people, in fact most people, use wood to build an entrance to their garden and house. However this occupant used whale bones which are certainly a conversation piece.
This is the first time I saw this entrance and of course I had to take a photograph.
As you can see it was a sunny and windy day but only 3°C with a wind chill.
I used in measuring tool to level this photograph, Sharpened in lab color U. S. M. 50,2,1, and saved for the web .
