Photographer's Note
“Very Old well” is the name of this photograph. This is the original well which was in existence around 1500 in the colony of Avalon, on the southern shore of Newfoundland. Around 1530 rumor has it that a child fell in the well and this was very bad luck. The well was filled with rocks and closed until recently. It was discovered during the excavation. It is amazing they think that these rocks lasted over 500 years.
This photograph was cropped, Level adjusted, Sharpened in lab color U. S. M. 90, 2, 1, and saved for the web. The flash did go off!

A very original point of view. The top forefront is ver clear and sharp but as we look into the well that sharpness fades. There are some bright spots and I think the photo could use a little contrast adjustment but I like it.
