Photographer's Note
This photo was taken yesterday at the Metro Toronto Zoo.
Toronto ZooArt showcases art exhibits. Here you can experience some interesting sculptures, unusual textile exhibits, unexpected visual arts displays, and more. The Toronto zooarts Festival explores the relationship between art, wildlife, and the environment.
You can't miss "Serpentine Mounds" by Ian Lazarus and Badanna Zack! This large sculpture is 300 feet long, and is composed of obsolete cars, earth, and ground cover. The effect appears as a revealed archaeological site embedded in the natural landscape, and portrays the continuing battle between our love affair with the car, the roads and resources that are built to sustain it, and the environmental damage caused to animals (including humans!) and their habitats.
**Post Pro - Cropped to visually make the red equal, and increased contrast.

This is worthy of our friend Olli. What a delightful image you've given us Pamela, both whimsical and evocative of our cultural obsession with the automobile. These may be obsolete cars, simply by virtue of the fact they no longer are on the road, but there are some very new models in that photo. We are a disposable society, no doubt about it.
Details and colors are nicely rendered. I also appreciate the rather artistic frame you've added to this very prosaic image. Fine work.

Great to see a new photo from you, Pamela. Very interesting "artwork" indeed, and a way of dealing with obsolete cars that I don't think I saw before. The cheerful color setting is an ironic contrast to the kinda sad sight.
Hope all is well and preparations for your "walk" are going good.

You are no ametuer photographer Pamela. Many of your pictures looks well selected and you know to pick the subject. Its impossible to rate all your pictures so I pick this one. This is a good capture.
