Photographer's Note

Proudly, without shame, Eve offers the forbidden fruit of knowledge to each who passes by. Eve's Apple is a 12' (4 metre) welded and painted steel sculpture by Edwina Sandys, a renowned novelist, painter and sculpturist born in England in 1938. The sculpture rests in the Odette Sculpture Park that stretches along the banks of the Detroit River in Windsor.

Posing in the background is the privately owned Ambassador Bridge which connects the United States at Detroit Michigan to Canada at Windsor Ontario. It is the busiest international crossing in North America with some 10,000 commercial vehicles and 4,000 passenger car transits each day. The 4 lane bridge over the Detroit River carries 25% of the trade between Canada and the USA.
