Photographer's Note

Took this shot while practicing to shoot fast moving object at low shutter speed, after cropping, I kind of like the look of this racing boat, any advise will certainly help.

Modification : adjust level and colors

Tripods make all the difference in the world once you're shooting below 1/60 of a second. had you used a tripod on this picture the water would have been more crisp (although still somewhat unclear due to it's movement).

Besides that it is a good composition with good colors and croping.

Wow, this is speed, Pierre. I like your composition with the boat so far into the picture - that accentuates the speed - so the cropping is just fine. You've got the boat reasonably sharp and a nice blur to the water. The colors are excellent. And the title has got a twist... ;o) You did a great job while practicing - very good!

L'impression de vitesse est parfaitement restituée, Pierre.
Sur ce genre de bateau de course, il y a intérêt à bien s'accrocher, car les bonds sur les vagues sont impressionnants, et la vague est presque aussi dure que du béton.

Bien vu , l'effet de vitesse est tres bon , le bateau est tres nette et la mer floue c'est parfait , pour le cadrage on aime ou on aime pas , moi j'aime bien comme cela .

Très belle impression de vitesse ici, Pierre et le bâteau est très bien cadré. Cela n'a pas dû être évident de faire cette photo. Bien vu!

Wow Pierre, so you followed the speeding boat with your cam while capturing. It adds a very nice feeliing of speed due to the motion blur and there're details to be admired of the boat. Excellent. The blurred sea and wake provides is almost abstract - nicely graphic. Great job.

great work, like a painting, very well seen and taken, the image seems to be focus in parts, I would set the mode to 1/150 seconds for sharpness, but what you ahve achieved is stunning for 1/30

C'est difficile de prendre des objets en mouvement. Cette photo est à mon avis très bien réussie, on peu facilement s'imaginer la vitesse de l'embarquation. Bravo Pierre.

Very good this one, Pierre, a supreme rendition of the sensation of speed. The cropping is also well chosen, as the fact of the boat being placed at the very top of the photo increases the feeling we're lucky to see it as it is just about to leave the frame ;-) Great colors and really nice how the boat is reasonably sharp but the wave and blue water are blurry.

Wow! On en perd la tête! quelle impression de vitesse et de mouvement! C'est impressionant et très bien réalisé de surcroît. Le cadrage est excellent, J'aime le grand espace vide en dessous du bateau et la position de ce dernier dans le cadre. Bien vu et superbement réalisé, félicitations Pierre! Ce genre de photo d'action est loin d'être évident.

Superbe effet de vitesse ici avec le sujet net et les alentours bien flou..
Le cadrage est interessant car il laisse derriere ce tres bon panache de jet d'eau ce qui accentus cette forte sensation .

Nice work. You got this fast moving object very good (could be a bit sharper, but I'm no expert). Anyway, it's composition is good and you can really see and feel speed. Good work; I couldn't do it better.

La vitesse est bien présente sur cette composition bien captée en fond filé.
De plus le hord bord se trouve sur un point fort du cadrage.

You did well panning the shot to get the boat pretty clear. The vivid colors are appropriate too
