Photographer's Note
Shadows are long in winter. The old Siberian peashrub hedge (Caragana arborescens) and the cedar fence play in the sunlight. Whereas summer provides us months where reflexions are amasing, winter is the occasion to play with shadows.
In order to keep the DOF, I decided to give priority to the aperture and deal with the speed. The luxury was possible thanks to the ample light. There is therefore no loss of focus, the shadows naturaly get more diffuse as the branches are farther from the snow.

I like the fact that you manage to combine a mundane topic with an almost abstract presentation. Beauty in the ordinary par exellance! The pic has very strong graphic qualities. A good and very wel executed idea. You've made all the right decisitons w.r.t. DOF and exposure. Original work!

Oui, c'est une excellente photo et l'idée de la clôture en haut avec les arbres derrière, nous amènent à «balayer» l'image vers le bas. On dirait une «pluie d'ombres».

Hello Genevieve, I like this one. It is different and interesting. It also has an odd sense of scale - it feels like it is a small scale model (I know it isn't). Nice shot.
