Photographer's Note

A foggy day can be rather gloomy when you are stuck down in the fog, but if you can get above the clouds then you get a totally different view. This is Vancouver, with a thick blanket of fog, and only a few areas visible in the clear. This was taken from a nearby mountain, on the way to the Cypress Ski hill. The sun had just come over the horizon and because the angle was so low the tops of the clouds are very visible.
