Photographer's Note

Click the image for the L A R G E version!

Completed in time for Expo '86, Canada Place/ Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre was the only Expo Venue (Canada Pavilion) that was not located at the main site.

The facility is also home to the Pan Pacific Hotel, the world first Imax Theatre, and a major cruise ship centre which caters to passengers travelling the beautiful waterways North to Alaska.

With it's destinctive sails, it was commonly mistaken for a ship of sorts. My sister was working retail in '86 and was frequently asked what time Canada Place would be departing!?!

This shot was taken while on a dinner cruise around the harbour.

For more images from my recent trip back to Canada, they're available on my travelogue.

I hope you like the shot!
