Photographer's Note
This is the ninth pic in my A Walk Down Main Street series. I ask that you view the series in order please (if you're so inclined of course!). The street has a story. Cheers!

Ok, everyone this is the Pacific Central railway and train station on the edge of downtown. Please stick together, watch your bags, purses, and wallets. There are alot of homeles--oh no sir, I don't have any change.
Come this way all. Also watch your step. Sometimes there are used needles on the ground.
As I said this is where you can catch a train or bus...

There is a strong dynamic effect in the difference between building and tree, both powerful examples of their kind. The blue sky adds a feeling of clear autumn air. I think it would be even better if the perspective was straightened though.

Hey Alex;
Now here's a building I haven't seen in a while. I'll be there catching a bus to Whistler in December. Somehow I don't think it'll be looking this warm. Hahaha
Interesting series you've got going mate. I lived up near 49th & Main years ago. Taking the bus downtown passing all these different places brings back some memories.
Cheers!

In my slow stroll down your theme, I must say that I don't think this one is very good.
The composition looks sloppy with tilt and backwards slant that doesn't really is used for anything obvious.
The tree and the center-piece of the building is grouped very close together, that's not a strong composition in my opinion.
The tree and the building have roughly the same weight in the composition, none of them stand out as the main feature and the viewers interest kinda dissapears in between them.
Some of the parts of this photo are fine, the tree is beautiful, the sign is interesting and the contrast between golden letters and blue sky looks good, but to be honest it looks like you took this photo because your concept said you had to, not because you actually _saw_ a photo there.
Sorry for the hard words but long time ago I made the the decision that I would eventually visit all the stops on your walk down Main Street, no matter what I thought of them, and this one just wasn't my cup of tea.
