Photographer's Note

This is the eleventh pic in my A Walk Down Main Street series. I ask that you view the series in order please (if you're so inclined of course!). The street has a story. Cheers!

I'd ask you to avert your eyes, but I guess then you'd have a false impression of where we are. We are on the edge of Chinatown, just past the Venus. This is one of the empty lots where the city's many users, well, use. In fact, please be careful, and please don't freak out, but if you look down at were your standing there are about three used needles.

Vancouver has a chronic problem. There are free needle sites and free crack pipe distribution in order to stem the tide. But it's not going to be solved soon.

The above statement is not being over dramatic, there actually were three used needles where I was standing. If you look at the pic in the foreground you can spot a few more...
