Photographer's Note

This is my last photo from my collection of " old " photos.
It was scanned and adjusted with Photoshop but .... the quality is still low.
The photo show the iconic Fairmont Banff Spring Hotel.
This hotel and other on the east coast were built at the time when the railway line was completed joining the two extremes of the country.
It is the roof line which is so special to my eyes.... you just do not see it anymore in the modern buildings.

Hi Gus,
lovely photo with an old feel to it. The atmosphere is somewhat mystic, perhaps thanks to those special colors. The clouds add to the impression as well.

Nice view on buildings and mountains in the bg, well with the flag as detail in your view, maybe the sharpness is not top.

Hello Gus,

I know perfect how is difficult make pictures of a slide, than scanning this gives never the real colors.
But you did very well with these old series with the Candian flag as eye catcher.
Excellent composition, good presentation and soft colors.

Hi Gus,

You're capturing well this hotel by a good angle, so it's interesting and impressive to see the historical hotel with a good design/shape. It's interesting in the color contrast of dark red wall and grey roof, too. And, the snowy mountain in behind draws out a special good effect in this image.
