Previous winter in Canada, with a nice snow layer.

Donc si j'ai bien compris, vous étiez sur la rivière gelée.
J'espère que vous n'avez pas entendu la glace craquer.
Parce que la glace est neigeuse, nous ne pouvons pas voir où la rivière se termine et où commence la terre ferme.
Grâce à la neige abondante, vous avez une vue très brillante.

This is winter at its best: maybe cold, but with a clear sky and lots of clean snow. The photo is well taken, with no traces of overexposed snow, and nicely sharp.

Hello Pierre,

Gosh, this is amazing!
I would never have guessed that this was a river without your notes.

I wonder, if with climate change, the river still ices over as deeply as this!

It's a fine composition, the winter trees making strong contrasts with the expanses of snow.
