Winter Cloud Reflections, a photo from British Columbia, Western

Photographer's Note

This photo was taken on the same day as this day's Closing Moments. In this scene a focal length of 22mm shows the evening's cloud formations over the mountians. This Fraser River stretches over 1200 km through British Columbia. What impressed me the most about this scene were the clouds soft pastel tones that brought a peaceful mood to this scene. Often I see people drive down here to catch a few moments of reflection for the day. Enjoy!

Hello Paul,
Impressive landscape. Great tones of colours and reflections of the clouds, too.
...But to me it seems not exactly horizontal, maybe 0.3-0.5degrees off.
Nevertheless a very pleasant and enjoyable pic. TFS.

Wow Paul, yo've been on a roll lately! This is another great shot, with a look that is almost like a painting. The mix of colours and shapes in the clouds is good, but the reflection is even better. Excellent!

Another beautiful capture. The light in the sky and how it blankets over the mountains really sets the mood. The photo is very crisp. The reflection on the water is nice as well. Very peaceful photograph.

Although many would say the weather is not ideal (my home town on Vancouver Island 3 degrees), it sure looks appealing to me. Weather like this is great for hiking I find.

A bit of noise evident in this shot, might benefit from a touch of 'Neat Image'? (that's what i had to do with my latest sunset posting as it had a bit of noise).
A small point on an otherwise good shot.

This scene is stunninly beautiful, I can smell the crisp mountain air, and hear the peaceful nothingness around. The colors are so soothing, the sun on the snowy peaks highlight everything so well. I love the frame also, so complimentary. I can't say enough good things about this photo. Wish I was there gazing on the beauty and serenity right now!

bbrrrr i feel cold seeing this one Paul ;) Clouds are marvelous, the reflection is nice cause the lake was a little bit blur, i love the atmosphere created here ... You seem to love mountain and are lucky to live here !
