Photographer's Note
“Ready for winter” is the name of this photograph and it shows one family’s answer to staying warm for winter. During the summer and fall this hardworking individual stockpiled his wood to combat the frosty weather. This huge supply of wood is stored next to his house.
As I was taking a few photographs, he passed by on his A. T. V. with a bundle of wood on his trailer. He reminded me of a busy beaver.
This photograph was taken in a large meadow with my back to the ocean in the beautiful small community of Cappahayden on the Southern Shore. In fact, this section is part of an East Coast Trail which extends for over 250km.
The photograph was level adjusted and saved for the web.

J'ai aimé cette photo, en particulier à cause du sujet. ça sent la nature à plein nez, les forets interminable. Le cadrage est excellent : les grumes couchées sur la droite sont prosternées devant le "totem" à gauche, comme une sorte de mikado geant.
Bravo Jim !
