Photographer's Note
“The Barrens” is the name of a photograph and he it was taken at Cape Spear. This is the side of way from the sea with the lighthouse on my right. These barrens are a great place to pick berries such as bake apples. This was a very overcast day which threatens rain, fortunately just as we finished our hike the rain started.
This photograph looks good in black and white as well.
Hiking on this wind swept marsh, with you’re feet sinking below your ankles in the bog with every step, and is a great way to built endurance and character.
This photograph was level adjusted, and saved for the web.

Hi Jim,
Excellent shot! I love your POV, sharpness of the photo and placement of the leafless tree made the scene more beautiful. One can feel the rain clouds rolling over to cover the clear skies to the right.
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers!

nice shot...it makes me want to go hiking and berry picking. I can feel my feet sink in the peat. Good job.

Hello Jim,
Your frame is including an extraordinary scene with almost two colors. I like the contrast between dried grasses on terra and cloudy sky. Dark part of ground at horizon, dried tree and little blue sky are makes your frame rich. Congratulations.
Best Regards,
Parbo
