Photographer's Note

Taken on a dark, windy morning well before sunrise from the beach at Port Stanley. I had to dig my heavy tripod well into the sand, pack more sand around the legs in order to protect it from sinking or blowing around in the heavy winds. I could see waves further out that looked to be one meter high and heard local commenting that further out in the lake the waves were unusually high. While the location and weather were exhilirating, it was also profoundly lonely. I hoped to reflect that in my photo.

This photo was a bulb exposure of around three minutes.

PP: A few curves layers with fairly detailed masks
