Hi Doug,
the light here is great and so is the composition, very clever of you to place that tree in the FG. Flaweless HDR work, it still looks natural, which is often not the case with HDR images. Nice shot, thanks for sharing!

I can almost here the "silence" of this place.
Some bird occasionally flying around, a moose in the woods, frogs, and.... mosquitos buzzing around my ears !
A fantastic mood, also due to the mist on the water.

I like very much the contrast: the dry and dead tree, the soft water and the intense color in the mountain. It's a singular feeling. The soft colors are fantastic! Thanks.

This is a proof of a intelligent and tastefully use of HDR, I'm not really a fan when it's use became abuse.
