What I Love Balkariya for, a photo from Kabard-Balkaria, North Caucasus

Photographer's Note

This picture was taken in the southern, mountainous part of Kabardino-Balkariya, which is called Balkariya, namely in its south-west corner known as Mount Elbrus Region, in the upper part of Malka River valley, where the warm mineral water sources Zhalisu (or Dzhilisu) are located. In this place there are at least three tourist sights, which can be seen only there. These are the following:
● two-headed giant Elbrus (you can see it at the top-left corner of the picture)
● teeth-like rock formation (at the center)
● powerful waterfall Sultan, which flows just out of the rocks (at the right)

Hello Sergyi,

A very nice mountain's shot with beautiful natural colors well collecetd ( especially the green of the vegetation nad the well exposed white of the snow). Excellent composition in differents plans well delimited which give a great depht to the image.

Hi Sergiy, Fantastic place! amazing panorama and what colours - fabulous blue sky and fresh green contrast beautifully with the snow. The most interesting seem these teeth-like formations. It must be high here, well, 2355 m. How did you get there? On the bike? it seems there is a camping place down there. Interesting waterfall.

This ios a very beautiful view and some very impressive and special rock formations. I appriciate that you have included the tents below the ridge here, otherwise it would have been difficult to understand the size of these formations. Beautiful colours all over and the parts of white snow and blue sky in the background are more than excellent.

Lovely contrast with the immaculate, snowy peak and the green slopes in the foreground.
