Photographer's Note

At this place, near a sheep-fold, there was our night-stop. In the evening we could see where to go further, but now, at 7 a. m. on the Ukrainian time or 8 a. m. on the local Moscow time, we could see only that we had to go up-hill without viewing the mountain saddle we were heading to. Fortunately, in an hour time the fog cleared away and we set off.

Usually, during a group bike travel the tourists come to a stop at around an hour before the sunset, and start their daily lap at two or tree hours after the sunrise. A single tourist can go in for traveling from sunrise to sundown. That is why I prefer solo trips to group ones.

Beautiful and well composed photo. Nice light balance between the FG and BG.
One thing I wonder - how come there is no critiques... The picture definitely deserves it!

Hi Sergiy,

Great photo, the composition is great, and the colors too. The POV places me right in top of the mountain, like if I was there....Congrats!!!

I wonder how could have ended up the photo is you would have use a little more exposition time, to give the fog a movement effect?

Very beautiful with the fog in the valleys between the different mountain layers. Also nice is the green colour appearing through that fog.

Fog gave the atmosphere to this picture... specially with hill like that it looks real nice (maybe a bit cold for me (i call cold everything below 25°!)
Convenient choice of the vertical format to add depth to the scene.

This is a most amazing photograph!
I don't think I have ever seen one quite like this before! The mist appears to be rolling down the valley, following the lowest land, as a stream would do!
I like how you have used the f/g triangle of grassland to anchor the shot and to give a sense of depth.

this clouds and fog really makes this image very special. I know if it's too much it not good for photo, you can't really see anything. But here you have just enough to make it special but not cover up all the hills. Lovely nature shot, so serene and peaceful. I like it very much.

I'm amazed to see this is taken in the middle of summer as the foggy mornings are more a sign of upcoming autumn hehehe...

Beaucoup auraient renoncé à faire une photo par un temps pareil mais toi tu en as fait une très belle. La brume est encore dans les vallées alors que les sommets se trouvent sous les nuages.
